Changing 4GOLD for the better: From WooCommerce to Shopify
Ever heard of 4GOLD? It's a sports nutrition & supplement brand that personalizes your supplements based on a DNA analysis. We migrated them from their WooCommerce platform to Shopify, implemented Shopify Markets and helped them to take the next step on a commerce level.
The challenge
4GOLD’s main issues included a slow back-end, making it difficult to work efficiently. The platform was not user-friendly, complicating the process of making adjustments. Additionally, accessing vital metrics like conversion rates required extra plugins, adding to the complexity.
The platform became too technical for easy customisation, and the limited support offered did not meet their needs. These issues highlighted WooCommerce's limitations in scalability and adaptability, prompting 4GOLD to seek a more suitable solution to support their growth and operational efficiency.
Our approach
To address these challenges, we transitioned 4GOLD from WooCommerce to Shopify, a more robust and scalable e-commerce platform. Our goal was to create a seamless, efficient, and user-friendly experience for both the company and its customers. Therefore, we implemented Shopify Markets, a newly launched feature at the time, which allowed 4GOLD to manage multiple storefronts from a single back-end, simplifying operations and increasing efficiency.
