Recap: Odoo 101 webinar

During this webinar, we highlighted the most important Odoo features and basics. Watch the replay to get up to speed!

Five important take-aways from this webinar

In this webinar, Odoo expert Julien Verheughe introduces you to Odoo, an open-source business management software designed to replace scattered tools with one fully connected system. Here are the five biggest takeaways from the session.

1. More than just an ERP

While Odoo is often lumped in with ERP systems, it goes much further. Traditional ERPs handle sales, purchasing, and manufacturing. Odoo does that and adds modules for CRM, HR, marketing, website management, e-commerce, and more. It’s designed to run your entire business from one place, without the complexity and cost of legacy systems.

2. Smooth integration across every module

Odoo’s modules run on a single database, so everything syncs automatically. In this webinar, we demonstrate a complete B2B sales flow - from website inquiry to order fulfillment and payment - all within Odoo. Discover how the handoff between steps was invisible, with no need for exports, imports, or third-party tools!

3. Modular, flexible, and scalable

You only use what you need. Whether you’re a one-person operation or a company with hundreds of employees, you can start small and expand as needed. Odoo works just as well for a boutique retailer as it does for a multinational with complex logistics.

4. Customizable, but with trade-offs

Odoo’s open-source nature means it’s highly customizable. You can shape it around your workflows instead of forcing your business to fit the software. But be cautious with over-customizing though. Custom code can add long-term maintenance costs and upgrade complications. The key is finding the right balance.

5. A simpler, smarter tech stack

Perhaps Odoo’s biggest draw is its ability to replace dozens of disconnected apps. Rather than managing separate tools for email marketing, CRM, inventory, accounting, and more, Odoo brings it all together. Fewer integrations means less chaos and one central view of your business data.

Odoo isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, but for many companies, it’s a modern and practical way to simplify operations. Our advice? Start small, try it out, and see what it can replace.
